You shouldn’t be surprised to hear that even multi-millionaire celebrities also play the lottery. And why not? If you have millions there will always be room for more. We know for a fact that they do and that Simon Cowell could be a big winner, we just don’t know it yet. Read further to find out which celebrities like to play the lottery.
Yes, that’s right. Some of the biggest celebrities we know all play the lottery. George Clooney, Elizabeth Hurley and even Madonna have all tried their luck on a lottery we offer, SuperEnaLotto. The famous trio said that they play the lottery in order to use their winnings to help charitable causes if they win. George Clooney and Elizabeth Hurley hoped to win some money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake back in 2010.
Two years later, Madonna, the Queen of Pop, bought a number of tickets for the SuperEnaLotto and SiVinceTutto lotteries. Amazingly, she won €120,000 which she donated to Malawi to help them build schooling infrastructures. Paris Hilton has also been seen buying SuperEnaLotto tickets back in 2008 but apparently she only wants to donate 10% of her winnings to charity. Talk about spoilt and greedy! Well, it is Paris Hilton after all…
American lottery winner Roy Cockrum recently won the $259 million USA Powerball jackpot and has already pledged to donate most of it to charity. Simon Cowell has a personal fortune worth £359 million and counting with thanks to his many empires, and we all know that he could stand the chance to be the next lottery millionaire. At an interview with the Daily Mail back in the year 2011, they asked him if he plays the lottery. He said, “I still play. But I tick the box that says no publicity so no one would know. I like my privacy.”
Sounds like something Simon Cowell would say, but perhaps he doesn’t want to make a big thing out of it so he can donate the money as he pleases without involving the press? Who knows? Winning the lottery and choosing to remain anonymous is a common occurrence. Many players like their privacy.
Another celebrity by the name of Hugh Jackman AKA Wolverine is known to buy lottery tickets for his cast members and film crew. One time it actually led to a $1,500 win on set! Rich Ricci has ironically lived up to his name and is now worth a whopping £100 million. He is the former head of Barclay’s investment bank despite controversy in 2013.
Ricci owns dozens of prize-winning horses and loves to play EuroMillions online. He’s been buying tickets since June 2012 trying to win jackpots as big as £92 million.
Last month in the UK, Rob Rich from Southampton also lived up to his name after winning a £2 million UK Lotto jackpot.
Everyone, including celebrities, is playing the lottery online. So why shouldn’t you? You have as much luck as anyone else. The trick is to enter the game or you’ll never know!
Best of luck to you!
