A terrace where lions roam wild, an underwater bedroom, and a penthouse suite are some of the most extraordinary stays imaginable. Our favourite saying goes like this: “Money doesn’t necessarily have to bring you happiness, but it can give you incredible experiences, which bring you happiness.” Read further about some of the most priceless experiences our wonderful world can offer a lottery millionaire.
We’ll be diving into some pretty spectacular stay experiences in the world right here, so sit back and relax as we take you on a five-star journey. We’ll be looking at private cinemas, private butlers, and breath-taking views of exclusive real estate. Crystal bathroom sinks and much more are some of the perks enjoyed by the rich and famous when they stay at these high-end hotels.
Each of these stays come with an exorbitant price tag that surpasses the annual salary for most of the world’s workforce. For a lottery winner, however, a stay at any one of these fabulous locations will be mere pocket change for you. Embrace your future wealth and let’s begin our journey!
1. Royal Suite, Burj Al Arab, Dubai
This is billed as a whopping seven-star resort. The Burj Al Arab is home to a swanky two-bedroom Royal Suite with painfully extravagant interiors fit for the King of the World, if there ever was one.
The entire apartment takes up two floors, has a majlis-style lounge, private dining room for 12, a library, and a cinema. The craziness doesn’t stop there. It even has its own private lift, a lavish staircase, and the world’s largest brigade of butlers available 24 hours a day.
Set on an artificial island, this hotel is the third tallest in the world, offering the most spectacular 360 degree views of Dubai. The opulent Royal Suite pictured above has master bathrooms with full-size Jacuzzis and separate five-head rain showers. This lavish stay will set you back $19,000 including a 10% service fee, and 10% municipality fee.
Inside this suite, guests are provided with a 24-carat gold iPad and two iMacs to use. They can also choose one of 17 types of pillows before falling asleep on a super King size bed personalised to fit their posture.
Hold on tight as we whisk you away to Zanzibar.
2. Underwater Suite, Manta Resort on Pemba Island, Zanzibar
And we’ve arrived. This is Africa’s first underwater hotel room 13ft below the Indian Ocean and part of a private floating ‘island’ north of Zanzibar. As many before them have done, guests can take a plunge off the roof into the water, tan on a sun-lounger, relax in the underwater pool and spot fish through the window. The double room is available for a nightly rate of $1,500. A small price to pay for such an amazing experience.
Strap on your seatbelt as the helicopter now flies you to the airport and jets you off to New York.
3. Ty Warner Suite, Four Seasons Hotel, New York
Welcome to the $50,000 a night suite with the most exclusive views of the Chrysler and Empire state Buildings. The bathroom has translucent Chinese onyx, a chromo therapy soak tub with a heater to keep the water warm, and solid crystal sinks.
This is the second most expensive penthouse suite in the US, but the amazing view is worth it. The bedroom has walls made of imported straw from France and hand laid by an artist. The velvet bedspread was hand stamped in Venice, and the gold threaded curtains are from Morocco.
We will now take you to the heart of Africa. Let’s get wild!
4. Treehouse, Lion Sands, South Africa
This paradise is in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa and each treehouse is exposed to the elements and comes with a four-poster bed. Guests can hear lion’s roaring at night, hyenas cackling and hippos honking.
If this isn’t an authentic African experience, then we’re not sure what else is. They are called “bush bedrooms” and go for $1,130 a night. These treehouses are the perfect retreat for stargazers looking to sleep in the wild but still have a sense of luxury.
Out of Africa and into the Seychelles.
5. The Presidential Villa, Banyan Tree Seychelles
This stay is situated on a private cove with sweeping views of the ocean and a pristine coastline. You can expect a cosy bedroom, two Thai salas and pavilion, powder rooms, his-and-hers dressing area and pool decks.
Guests can relax in an infinity pool overflowing over granite boulders, a second private pool, and an outdoor jet pool or steam room. This private cove experience will cost you $2,500 a night.
Let’s sail away to the land down under, our last destination on this journey of luxury.
6. Osprey Pavilion, Southern Ocean Lodge, Australia
This magnificent and awe-inspiring getaway is situated atop limestone cliffs on Kangaroo Island with fabulous views of the sea. The suite has lavish bathrooms, hand-sculpted granite baths, deluxe rain showers, and even heated limestone floors.
With its unique curved floor expanse, the stay will cost $1,500 a night which even includes a plunge pool on the outdoor terrace. Kangaroo Island offers you the chance to get away from it all since it only has 4,400 inhabitants. We guess this is a perfect place to hide away from all the paparazzi trying to get snaps of you.
So, what are you waiting for? These places are calling out to you so you can experience them in all their majesties. All you have to do is buy the cheapest tickets available to you online for your favourite lottery, and you’re in for a shot to rake in millions of Euros!
Don’t delay. Play.
